No more ring ring...

I am so sorry if you have tried to contact me since wednesday evening. Sharp at 5pm, my phone got stolen from my Charity Sale Booth in 1Utama. A police report has been made and we have manage to identify the person who stole my phone. Just hoping now that he will step foot in 1 Utama again.

Although I am upset with the person who steals from others who work very hard for their belongings, it is no use being harping over it. I'll just have to work harder =)

I manage to get my replacement sim card and I can now be contacted again.

As for cake orders for christmas time, you can still contact me at 012 2220801 for details.

its been a while..

It's been sometime since I've updated the blog. I have been busy with a job order I took. Some of you new to my blog would have received cakes from a company. I have the privilege to bake for this established companys' clients. Hope you people enjoyed the cake.

I have been receiving calls with regards to the cakes. Yes!!! I do take orders. Just give me a call or leave me a msg on the blog and I'll be in touch with you as soon as I can.

Food for Hope - Part TWO

The first Food for Hope campaign went really well. The kids at the home was happy with just the thought that people out there are so willing to help them in making their home a happier place to be in.

In conjunction with the 'Giving Month', I am organising another Charity Bake Sale. This time it will be held from Dec 1st till Dec 27th. My booth is located on the Ground Floor; 3rd from the entrance of the old burger king in 1Utama Shopping Centre (or 2nd booth from TGIF). You will definitely not miss the booth. It will be the only booth with cakes, cupcakes and cookies, all around a railway track!! =)

Come by to my booth to lend your helping hand and fill your tummy at the same time! While you are at it, do remember to write a note for the kids! All cards will be compiled and presented to the children of St Jeromes Home.

Part of the proceeds will be given to St Jeromes Home in PJ. This contribution from you and I will help make these kids smile a little wider. See you soon!

This healthy carrot cake is a must to try for those health concious lot out there. This cake is crunchy and moist at the same time! Many may have questions in your mind, but let me tell you that this is a special carrot cake... it has carrots, walnuts and pineapple too.. it is jummy!!! (just yummy)

I've got enquiries on whether is there any other way to get the muffins and cakes, instead of going to Tadika Krisaliz on 31st October.

I have extended the charity bake sale to :-

1) Direct purchase from SummerFiesta, 1 Utama.
- all cakes, brownies and muffins sold on the 31st of October in SummerFiesta will be included the charity bake sale. The sale is on from 1030am till 930pm. So hurry while the muffins
are still HOT!

2) All pre-orders for the 31st of October will also be included for the charity bake sale. If you are
not in town but would still like to participate in giving HOPE for the chilren, then call me (012
222 0801) or leave a comment in my blog to pre-order the cakes, brownies or muffins. All
sale from pre-order will also be included for the charity bake sale.

I hope that these options will make it easier for you to donate and contribute to the kids. On behalf of the chilren in St Jerome's Home, I would like to give a big thank you to all.. and also a huge hug for the kind gesture!

Food for Hope

SummerFiesta will be having a charity bake sale on this Halloween (31st October). With the support of Tadika Krisaliz management, we will be at Tadika Krisaliz, Taman Tun Ismail branch on the 31st of October 2009 from 1pm till 3pm. If you are staying around the area, do drop by to show your support for the children at St Jerome's Home. They can use some helping hand.

People ask me why am I organizing a charity bake event in October. My answer to them is that we should not wait for a time where everyone is giving. the kids at the home still needs to go to school and they still need to eat and pay for the rental of the house. So it would make more sense to give it to them when they need it the most. I do hope that you will come and support the charity bake sale on 31st October. If the response is good, I will consider having it every month to support the kids for a better living.

You can have it with or without ice cream.... it's equally as yummy, but i do suggest you to take it when it is warmed ;p

18th October

SummerFiesta's first private event was held yesterday. It was a celebration for 2 birthday boys. We came out with a special menu for the day as there were request for something different from the our normal menu.

Among the food served were :-

- mash potato
- steamed vegetable in buttermilk
- footlong sausage
- bratwurst
- baked lamb with mint sauce

I do hope the guest enjoyed the food, the place and of course the people.

16th October

Our first private event will be held on tomorrow night. We will be closed for business from 6pm till late =)

I have received a couple of enquiries on varies events or parties to be held here. Booking would be on a first come first serve basis and preferably a week in advance - especially if you would like to have a tailored-made menu.

A lot of staff from IBM had tried calling me yesterday. Sorry I couldnt render your call as my mobile was having a bad day. It just decided not to ring. But not to worry.. it is fixed and I am able to receive your calls now. Again I have to apologize to those starving IBM-ers..

Eight October

I am getting calls for the directions to SummerFiesta..

The adress is F236, 1st Flr Promenade 1Utama. It is in between Seoul Garden and Simply Penang. If you are coming from the hotel, we are on your left. Or just call me at 012 2220801 for directions..

We also have enquiries on whether you can book the tables here for a small gathering with friends. Of course you may! Whether u want to have a specially planned menu or whatever we have on the shelf, please ensure that you call in as we only make limited amount of food to ensure the freshness of it. Usually, we will be sold out during lunch time!

Fifth October

To the anonymous person who asked for a photoshoot of the cafe,don't worry - it is coming..

Sunday was a great day for me here. I had my aunties, uncle, cousins, cousin-in-law, and also nieces to the cafe.. Hope you had a great time here. Unfortunately, I was busy preparing the drinks and serving other customer that I can't stay and chat with them.

For those who have not been here, you need to come. The environment is great! It is a condusive place for those who wants to have a good chatting session with your buddies or just some time alone... not forgetting the shopping experience you will get here (ps: my aunt bought 3pieces of top for less than rm80! NO JOKE!) Birdcage is having some great offers now. So please drop by to the place for a drink and enjoy the great hangout place..

For busy working people here in the vicinity of 1Utama, just call me to order, I'll get it done and by the time you come to collect it, it will be ready.. or better still get the food delivered to your desk =)

First October

With a car full of goodies and a heart filled with excitement and nervousness, I entered 1Utama's parking thinking "This is it! I'm finally going to embark on a new journey in my life. SummerFiesta, here I come!!!"

It's the first day at my new place. First of all, I have to thank my first few customers who gave me the boost I needed. Secondly, I need to thank the people who has helped me in making my dream come true. My mum for the 'support' she offered, my brother for the emotional, physical, mental and financial support (you are the best!), Serean for volunteering her tummy ( and who will be my BIGGEST customer ;p ) and one of my bestest friend, Louis for being a volunteer in designing and photography.

SummerFiesta will be officially opened on Sunday, 4th October 2009.

Being said that, I would like to invite my friends to the soft opening of my humble little cafe for a makan makan session. Please come by on the 3rd of October 2009 during lunch time for a get-together in conjuction with Mid-Autumn Festival.

A little girl's dream...

When I was just a little girl, I would dream of a shop that would have the two of my most favourite things - eating and shopping. As I have been quite good with my hands and mouth (crafty hands to make and produce almost anything of interest and mouth to sell the products - gosh, what were you thinking?! =p ), the shop i dreamt of would to sell food that I make and things that I produce.

A couple of years ago, while sharing my childhood dream with someone whom i loved dearly, the name of our future was cooked up. We figured that something catchy and fun would reflect our personality - hence the name kuppakekko.

Days flew by and without me realising, it is already The year of the Bull. It had brought many challenges in my life. However, admist the challenges, it has also brought in opportunities. I guess you could say that a guardian angel was looking after me. With the encouragement from my brother and the support of one of my bestest friend, I decided to seize the opportunity. Knowing that this is going to be just a summer stint, I am determined to make a little girl's dream come true.


I've rebranded the cafe to SummerFiesta with the hope that everyone who comes to the cafe will enjoy themselves. The environment is really refreshing as we are furnished with comfortable chairs, plush toys and bean bags. So drop all your worries and hope these summer memories will stay forever. If you are just looking for a place to hang out with a couple of friends and have a cuppa or simply looking for a quiet time alone with a good book, please drop by SummerFiesta Cafe by kuppakekko before it is too late.
